OUR NEW VAN!

Our New Van
Our 2000 Honda Odyssey transmission went out for the third time. It only had 39,000 miles on the second transmission and the Honda dealership in Bowling Green (Gary Force Honda) wanted $4500 to put in a new transmission. I decided to NOT use their service and bought a re-manufactured transmission from eBay for $1300 and will have a local transmission shop remove and install the new one for $400. A huge savings!!!! In the mean time, we've purchased a newer 15 passenger 2009 Ford E-350 XLT van. Now everyone has a seat for themselves and we've got lots of room in the back! If you own a Honda Odyssey, make sure you have your transmission fluid flushed out ever 25,000 miles and you get an external cooler installed. Others are having similar problems with the Odyssey.
